Anyone travelling across the wide plains of Sarche can see that it is the true crossroads of Trentino. On one side, the road bringing visitors to these plains makes its way through the “history” of a great land, with castles and Bishops’ residences (Toblino, Madruzzo), while on the other, it travels up the jagged canyon of Limarò, to the Brenta mountains and to its enormous glaciers. On yet another side, it turns towards the south and is almost engulfed by the Mediterranean blue skies of the Garda. This is where the small town of Pergolese is found. It is the land of vineyards and orchards although, in spite of its evocative name, few travellers seem to notice it. It looks like a small cluster of houses, just like many others. However, it is home to a family farm that tells the tale of the centuries, acting almost like a “bridge," connecting the lands worked by the family and their lives. The Pisoni family.
